ER Wait GTHA is a community project. We try to collect as little as possible while still keeping the site useful and free of spam.

What we collect

Wait reports — arrival and seen times, optional acuity/rating, and an optional comment. No patient health information (PHI) is requested or stored.
Account info (if you sign in) — your Google display name and avatar, used to show who wrote a report.
Location — only requested when you tap "Find nearest", and never sent to our servers; it's used in your browser to sort the list.
Basic request data — your IP and user agent reach our server with every request (this is true of any website). We use them only to prevent spam and abuse; we don't build advertising profiles.

If you sign in, your browser stores a session so you stay signed in between visits. The site has no analytics or advertising cookies.

Google Sign-In (only if you choose to sign in).
Google Maps (used to show the hospital map).
Public data from Ontario Health and the Canadian Institute for Health Information; we don't share anything about you with them.

You can submit a wait report without signing in. Anonymous reports never display your name, email, or account.

Signed-in users can view and delete their own reports from My reports.
